最近、こんな記事がありました。
Swedish Schools Move Away from Digital Tools
(スウェーデンの学校、デジタルツールから遠ざかる)
いくつか抜き書きすると
■スウェーデンは,タブレットやコンピューターを学校、そして幼稚園にさえ、いち早く導入することに取り組んできたが、教育大臣は現在、ペン、鉛筆、紙をもっと見たいと思っている。
■スウェーデンのカロリンスカ研究所は8月、「デジタルツールが生徒の学習を向上させるのではなく、むしろ妨げるという明らかな科学的証拠がある」と述べた。
■「印刷された教科書や教師の専門知識を通じて知識を得ることに焦点を戻す必要があると考えている」と付け加えた。
日本でも、生徒ひとりひとりにに一台タブレットを持っています。子どもの興味を引くようなお勉強ソフトがたくさん入っていて、昔とは比べものにならない学習環境です。
大いに活用すべきと、わたしは楽天的に思っていました。
しかし、デジタル教育先進国のこの動き、なんだか気になります。

Sweden, which is often thought to have one of the world's best education systems, has spent millions of dollars on new school textbooks ? and plans to spend millions more.
The country had been quick to bring tablets and computers into schools, and even preschools, but the Swedish minister for schools now wants to see more pens, pencils and paper.
Lotta Edholm said in March that "Sweden's students need more textbooks," adding: "Physical books are important for student learning."
The Associated Press said that the government would like to completely end digital learning for children under the age of six.
Sweden's Karolinska Institute said in August: "There's clear scientific evidence that digital tools impair rather than enhance student learning."
It added: "We believe the focus should return to acquiring knowledge through printed textbooks and teacher expertise."
そういえば、このブログに登場する高３生Ｋ君、紙の辞書どころか電子辞書も持っていません。もっぱらネット検索。それでも英語の成績はいいのですから、、、、
「辞書を引け！！ 英語の成績は辞書を引く回数に比例するんじゃ」、なんて言われていた我々の時代は、遠い昔となりました。
紙の辞書の時代が、またやってくるのでしょうか？
